WOMEN OF THE YEAR...WOW OR WTF? & THREADS TO THRIVE FOR....FOLLOW ME....FOLLOW MEEEE!!!

Rihanna: Back On Top!

Glamour names Rihanna a 2009 Woman of the Year, honoring her for her style, her songs, her work with the Believe Foundation and for being a positive role model. She graces the cover of Glamour with anexclusive comeback interview, opening up about how she coped after the Chris Brown incident, her message to young women and her new album. Looking radiant, Rihanna was photographed in New York City by Matthias Vriens-McGrath in Balmain, Gucci and Jason Wu. The special December issue hits newsstands November 10, and Rihanna will be honored by the magazine at the annual Women of the Yearevent at Carnegie Hall on November 9.
What a year it’s been for the superstar. (“I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears,” she says.) Here, we salute her for, yes, her style and songs—but also for her message to young women, which she talks about in this Glamour exclusive. “Domestic violence is a big secret,” she says. “I want to give as much insight as I can to young women…to help speak for them.” (SOURCE: GLAMOUR.COM)

SLAVES TO FASHION...........ENTRE VOUS

Celebs Hit The Red Carpet In Jimmy Choo For H&M!

As I have previously blogged, Jimmy Choo has partnered with H&M and Celebrity has its privileges, but I think chief among them is the right to get your hands on amazing clothes long before the hoi polloi. A slew of A-listers hit the red carpet in L.A. last night to celebrate the launch ofJimmy Choo for H&M...a full two weeks before the rest of us queue up to get our hands on it! Check out a few looks from the line on real-life starlets, after the jump.

Jimmy Choo for H&M, though--her jumpsuit will be $69 and the hot pink clutch, just $59.

Hayden Panettiere dressed head-to-toe from the collection, rocking a pair of insanely chic $129 leather pants (again, WISH LIST!), $129 sparkling bomber jacket, and $129 zebra print handbag.

M.I.A showed up in what I'm guessing will be the most-coveted item in the collection--a pair of $299 over-the-knee boots. If you've got your eye on 'em, I suggest getting in line early at your local H&M.

Wow or WTF: A Cosmetics Case That Talks To You

How would you feel if your makeup case came to life and started telling you what to do when it comes to applying your face? Well, if you think that would be kind of awesome (versus it being one of the most terrifying experiences of your entire life), you're in luck!
The Makeup Player from Stila is a cosmetics train case like the kind makeup pros carry, only it has speakers and a dock where you can plug in your iPod. I can only imagine what my old Caboodles from the '80s would have thought of this development.

The idea is that you can download Stila's BeautyTube makeup tutorials--or any video beauty tutorial, for that matter--and follow right along. At $70, the case also comes filled with a bunch of Stila makeup staples.

BARBIE GOES HAUTE!!

                        Christian Louboutin Celebrates Barbie

"Barbie is such an icon, how could I resist a collaboration?" asked Christian Louboutin, regarding his latest fashion fling with the reigning queen of plastic beauty. She has been celebrating her fiftieth all over the world, from an epic show during New York Fashion Week to her very own windows at Colette in Paris, and she's still celebrating her half-centenarian year in style.
Louboutin has customized three different Barbies, each inspired by a different iconic diva, like Marilyn Monroe or Nefertiti, but of course it wouldn't be right if she only came with one pair of shoes, so she comes with four pairs of the little Loubs, each in their little box delicately wrapped in tissue. The shoe designer and the doll even posed for a calendar.
So?  Is that enough to get you thinking of perfect holiday gifting?  If so, head over to Net-a-Porter on December 7th, where you can purchase the doll-calendar-shoe set for a mere 100 pounds.

COME ON BARBIE...LET'S GO PARTY...OW OW OW YEA!

Customized Nike's made to  TAKE FLIGHT!

Jude Law has been rocking this pair of customized Nikes by Beatrix Ong and now you can too. Ong has been working overtime to make her eccentric shoes available to people all over by, first, opening her new concept store in London's Newburgh Quarter, a section of town that is a hotbed for stylish retailers, and second, by launching an e-commerce site this week where you can get all the goods—including these Nikes, whose colors and stenciling are stunning  (the birds are literally flying off the sneaker). Finally, sneakers you can take flight in!

THE WAIT IS OVA!

YOU HEARD IT FIRST!

LISTEN UP:

In Love & War finds itself mimicking those same hard blaring, live horn percussive sounds from her days with producer Rich Harrison. However, the album boasts no collaborations from him. Even with it’s over the top, Ray Kay-directed music video, the first single, “♫ WHY R U,” co-produced by The Buchanans, didn’t seem to grab attention of the fans.
In contrast, “♫ HEARD ‘EM ALL,” the next single to follow, got a little more love from radio and in the clubs. The online blitz began when they put out a teaser video, and fans became a little more excited to see promotion on the label’s end for Amerie. But soon after, a 106 & Park guest spot, there was little-to-no promotion coming from her or her camp.
